London Phoenix Performance

London Phoenix Performance offers dynamic and inclusive swimming coaching based in South East London and Kent, passionate about supporting young athletes on their competitive journey. Focused on swimmers aged 11 to 17, London Phoenix offers a welcoming environment where talent is nurtured, hard work is celebrated, and every swimmer is encouraged to reach their full potential. Whether athletes are aiming for county, regional, or national success.

London Phoenix Performance was created to complement, not replace, existing club coaching. Sam brings a holistic approach to training, drawing on his qualifications as a gym instructor, certified Strength and Conditioning coach, nutritionist, and gym coach. This allows him to design well-rounded, athlete-focused sessions that refine technique, build strength, and improve performance — all while fitting flexibly around club schedules.

Sam firmly believes that high performance swimming should be accessible to all, regardless of background or ability, and is proud to be leading a programme that champions inclusion, growth, and excellence in the sport. He would welcome the opportunity to explore ways to collaborate and support your club’s swimmers. Coaches are always invited to join and volunteer at sessions or camps — because building a strong, connected swimming community is at the heart of London Phoenix Performance.

We look forward to seeing you poolside!

Coach Sam has been the best coach ever! He’s helped me so much with my swimming, especially getting ready for Nationals, which I never thought I’d make it to. His sessions are tough but really fun, and he always knows how to help me improve without making me feel bad. He gives great advice and explains things so I actually understand them. He’s also super supportive and always believes in me, even when I find things hard. Because of Coach Sam, I’ve become way more confident in and out of the pool. I wouldn’t be where I am without him!
